Previously only available in select locations, Mathi, or Mathri, as it is often called, is now available in almost all candy stores in India. It's made from flour, water, and cumin (optional). The making of this snack has been influenced by the need to store food that will remain edible for days and the finished products are often stored in large jars at room temperature. Mathi is a popular snack on the go.
