Suggested Recipe: Extra Hot Chicken Curry

Serves 2

Ingredients: 2 tbsp Vegetable Oil 1 Medium Onion Diced 70g - 1/4 jar Patak's Extra Hot Curry Paste 250g Diced Chicken 100ml Water 200g Fresh or Canned Chopped Tomatoes 1 tsp Fresh Chopped Coriander Leaf (optional)

Method:

In a medium sized pan, gently fry the onions in oil until golden.

Stir in Patak's Extra Hot Curry Paste, add the chicken and stir fry until sealed.

Add the tomatoes and water, mix well and cover the pan. Simmer on a low heat for 20mins.

Serve garnished with the chopped coriander leaf.

Cook's Tip: Add a tablespoon of mango chutney during cooking for a hot, fruity curry.

Patak's curry pastes are sophisticated blends of freshly ground spices and herbs, preserved in vegetable oil to retain their freshness. Mixed with yoghurt, they can be used as a marinade before cooking; cooked with onions and tomatoes, they make a delicious sauce for meat, poultry, sea fish or vegetables.

Patak's Extra Hot Curry Paste is a very hot paste used for cooking Indian meat and vegetable dishes. Extra Hot Curry Paste is especially popular for seasoning hearty beef or vegetable dishes. Due to the high proportion of chilli and other hot Indian spices, this chutney paste should always be dosed very sparingly.

Ingredients: Water, Ground Spices (22%) [Coriander, Paprika, Cumin, Turmeric, Chili, Spices, Fenugreek, Ginger) Rapeseed Oil, Salt, Corn Flour, Acidulants (Acetic Acid, Citric Acid), Tamarind, MUSTARD POWDER, Garlic Powder.
