Jogi Indian Red Wine (Merlot, Sahyadri)

The Merlot is dark in colour, spicy with hint of berries, fruity, easy to drink with minty on the nose.

Sahyadri valley, in western Maharashtra state of India, has a history of producing quality wines. In the early 80's the vineyards at these regions were re-established by importing grafted root stalks of different noble grape varieties mainly from Europe. Those root stalks were successfully cultivated here and were well accepted within the natural terroir and climate of Sahyadri. As a result now Sahyadri valley is on the International wine map and is quite capable of producing world-class Indian Wines.

Namaste! Ich trinke diesen Wein schon seit Jahren und schätze ihn sehr zu indischem Essen, z. B. mein ayurvedisches Rogan Josh (Lammgericht). Delikat und einzigartig. Kam sehr gut verpackt und zügig an. Vielen Dank. Gerne wieder!

Ein sehr leckerer und vollmundiger Wein, den ich aus unserem indischen Restaurant kenne. Leider war er lange Zeit nicht lieferbar. Aber jetzt endlich wieder. Die Lieferung erfolgte sehr schnell.
